USS BEGOR DE 711/APD 127

Photo taken in Manila Bay, off the island of Corregidor, 11 December 1958.
I am HM2 STEPHEN SPENCE and served on the Begor as a hospital corpsman stricker from June 1958 - May 1959, when the Begor was de-commissioned the first time. Went on to Corps school in San Diego, CA and sent to USNH #3923, Yokosuka, Japan, for the remainder of active service.
