Welcome! This is a place to meet your fellow DE
shipmates and chat about old times, or new times. Why not ask a shipmate to meet you here
at a specific time so that you can chat in real time! The room is always open.
Using the chatroom is easy. Just follow these
instructions:
1. Wait for this page to fully load. It may take a minute or two. A chat
screen will appear, below.
2. Click your mouse on the "Name" box and type in a user name, any name
you want to use. You do _not_ need to
type in a password.
3. Click your mouse on the "OK, Connect" button.
4. If you receive a error message on the chat screen that
says the name you chose is already in use, please choose
another name or add a number to
the end of the name you wanted to use. For example, if you chose the name
Sailor,
try Sailor1, or Sailor123.
5. The right side of the chat screen will show the names of the people who are in the
chatroom with you. If no names
appear, no one is in the chatroom.
6. To chat, click your mouse in the bottom box where it says "type here".
Type your message and click Send.
You are now chatting! Don't be shy, give it a try! If you have problems, click
on the Help button on the chat screen for more information.
