USS DARBY DE 218

Photo taken in 1944

"I went on board in March 1962 as a TMSA, just out of TM school in Key West Fla.  One of my most memorable times aboard is when we fired on Ft. Henery as part of the cellaberation of the war of 1812. The army was firing at us from the fort. I was transered from the Darby in the fall of 1963 to the USS Wr. R. Rush".
