Wearing camouflage measure 32/3D design, October 1944.  See below for more information.  Mr. Gregg stated that his ship was wearing this camo measure when she departed the US for the Pacific in October 1944.

Subject:  WAR DIARY, Month of October 1944

Sunday 1:  Conference of Capt. BECK, COTCLant Operations Officer, Comdr. H. W. STINCHCOMB, USCG, Asst. Operations Officer for DE's and Commanding Officers of DOYLE C. BARNES (DE353), KENNETH M. WILLET (DE354), JACCARD (DE355), comprising three specially camouflaged ships, and Commanding Officer of EDWARD H. ALLEN (DE531), observing ship, to carry official observation party on two-day maneuvers off Chesapeake Bay Entrance.  Official BuShips observation party, headed by Comdr. CHARLES BITTINGER, USNR, includes officers of the camouflage section of both U.S. and Royal British Navy.  Following are camouflage measures painted on the three ships:
