My Dad, Albert Hohn was on the Horace A Bass during WW II. He passed away when I was only 6 years old and I know so little about him. But I just recently heard he was nominated for the Navy cross when a kamikaze plane exploded near the ship. this is the first time I have heard of this,I am not even sure if it is true. But pleaseeeee if anyone knows anything him or this incident I would so MUCH appreciate it.
My dad was on the Horace A Bass during WW11. His name was Earl FJ Oncale. Most people called him Jack. Does anyone remember him?
My grandfather was on the Horace A Bass when the kamikaze plane exploded in June 1945. His name was Joseph J Conmy. Unfortunately, he passed away some years ago, so I don't have much information. If anyone knew him, or has more information about the ship, please contact me. Thank you.
My grandfather, Joseph Hugh Hitt, served on the Horace A. Bass in WWII. I would love any info anyone could give me. Thanks
