"I came onboard while she was a DE for the tail end of a Med Cruise, spent time in Mayport,
ten months in the Philly Drydocks (home for me) in '75 (that's when they changed
her into an FF on 6/30), GITMO in spring of '76 and NATO in the fall of '76".
