USS COOK FF 1083 "I separated from the USS Henderson and the US Navy at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard, way back in Nov. of 1973. I remember walking off the ship, dragging my sea bag and waving to my friends, a final salute, and a BIG smile. I never thought I would miss all my friends, but in looking back, I sure do. Here is a pictures of one of the 3 ships I had the privilege of being a part of..1 was a destroyer, 1 a destroyer escort, and 1 a big ole cruiser. I wish I could go back in time!!!
