USS Vance DE 387 Prize Crew

USS VANCE DE 387 crewmembers aboard a tug which took
them off U-873 after the sub was moored at Portsmouth, NH., 16 May 1945.
A 21-member VANCE prize crew sailed the surrendered sub 1600 miles from the Azores to Portsmouth.
The officer coming down the ladder is the Executive Officer of DE 387.
