USS JACCARD DE 355

"At our 2006 reunion held in Albany, NY, the nephew
of Richard Alonzo Jaccard (our ship's namesake), Jack Parker was present and toured the SLATER DE 766 with our group. He brought with him his uncles Navy Cross, Purple Heart, two swords and the neck of the bottle of champagne that was used
by his grand mother to Christen the USS JACCARD."
