Completing the details of Japanese surrender of Ponape Island

U.S. Naval officers and Lieutenant General Masao Watanabe completing the details of the surrender of the Japanese garrison on Ponape aboard USS Hyman (DD-732). The Instrument of Surrender was signed on 11 Sept 1945 with the occupation to begin the following day.
