It is with great sadness that we inform you of Tom's death.  He was a devoted DESA member, serving on the board of directors. Tom will be greatly missed.
Our sincere condolences to his wife Phyllis and his children.

Forty-eight year member and Ex-Captain of H & L Company #2, Baldwin Fire Dept., Boy Scout Leader, troop #52, Bethlehem Lutheran Church Baldwin for 28 years, member of SOLDESA, UVO of Nassau County (Past President), Past Commander, Cpl. Wainz Chapter #145, Disabled American Veterans, Hempstead Post #390, American Legion and the Korean War Veterans.

Beloved husband (45 yrs.) of Phyllis. Loving father of Loraine Gruber, Eva Fox, Deborah Schock, Thomas M. Gruber, Theresa Caporale and Joseph Gruber. Devoted brother of Margaret E. Toscano. Also survived by twelve loving grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Howard E. Williams, Inc., Funeral Home, 181 Greenwich St., Hempstead on Saturday and Sunday. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Veterans services 8pm, Saturday. Baldwin Firematic Services 8pm, Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial, 9:45am Monday at St. Christophers RC Church, Baldwin. Interment following at the Calverton National Cemetery.
